Meet the Palestinian family I personally donate to
Meet Manar, Essam and their daughters Habiba and Hoor.
I and Manar came in contact on Instagram, after I was asking God/Nature/Universe to give me an answer on what I can do regarding the situation in Gaza. We started exchanging messages. Witnessing situation in Gaza I felt many times helpless, despite boycotting, signing petitions, writing to politicians…
But keeping in touch with Manar has helped me to feel useful. I could donate for food and offer some hope. In return I received way more than I could ever give. I am in tears writing this, thinking of all the kindness and wisdom that eminates from Manar, even in the worst imaginable circumstances.
Manar, who is now 27 years old, used to work as a laboratory tehnician. Then, during the genocide, she started redesigning old clothes for her family. Look at this dress she made for Habiba! Now is her dream to study fashion design.
